FARFISA has harnessed the raw energy of live
performance and packaged it in two feature packed products that do everything you want
them to do! Whether you play keyboards, guitar, midi accordion, sing or play any other
instrument, FARFISA’s
fully orchestrated, multi-tasking, upgradeable software based instruments will always have
you saying – Yes! It can.
- COMPLETE CONTROL is accomplished through a Multi-Tasking operating system, allowing a musician to recall, view or load new software while performing.
- FLASH MEMORY provides a method by which the G-7 and 7X-II operating system can always be kept up to date. The nonvolatile memory is user updated via a simple floppy disk. Memory updates are provided free of charge.
- The built-in VOCAL HARMONIZER/FOLLOWER produces exciting and unique singing and harmony performances by keeping you in tune and filling the background with a multi-voice chorus that you control.
- The larger GRAPHICAL 64X256 DISPLAY WINDOW provides a real-time visual interface to various operating settings. Even the SONG WORDS can be displayed and user input to ANY SONG!
- There will never be a shortage of SOUNDS with 128 General Midi voices plus 16 Custom Sounds utilizing the new MARS Chip Technology, each with 4 or 5 variations and simple edit capability. The G-7 and 7X-II incorporate multi DSP technology enabling assignment of different internal effects at the same time to different voices. Add even more sounds with available memory expansion.
- 96 different USER PROGRAMS (snapshots of your favorite panel settings) can be stored internally and/or loaded from the floppy disk.
- The G-7 has 4 PROGRAMMABLE SOUND/FUNCTION PADS enabling drum playing or special effects to be played or easy reach programming of various operating functions. The 7X-II module allows this capability –and more- with the available 5 or 10 SWITCH PROGRAMMABLE FOOTPEDAL (also available for the G-7).
- Press EASY PLAY and 512 (G-7) or 576 (7X-II) different musical settings are instantly available to you – each with 8 variations of rhythm, arrangement and sounds. This quick access to a variety of sound combinations and orchestrations makes FARFISA products extremely user friendly and great for live performances.
- A variety of musical STYLES (64 on the G-7 / 72 on the 7X-II) are on board, each one structured into 7 parts, each with 4 variations – plus custom styles (either purchased from the available disk library or composed from scratch using the available FARFISA Style Maker Program) can be loaded 8 at a time from floppy disk.
- The PIANO BAR button provides instant instrumental accompaniment while maintaining your normally keyboard style and technique. The G-& actually recognizes chords played anywhere on the keyboard. For MIDI guitarists, you can play any note combination without changing the background accompaniment – but playing three notes together tells the 7X-II that it is time to change the chord. For MIDI accordion, the left hand chords trigger changes in accompaniment. The AUTO-START button also automatically cancels itself after the feature is used so that upon ending the song, there is no accidental restarting of the accompaniment on the final beat.
- QUICK MIDI MAPPING is available (along with complete manual control) to allow quick set-up of Keyboards, MIDI Guitars and MIDI Accordions.
- Digitize and process a microphone or any other instrument having audio pickups (such as accordions, guitars, etc.) and it becomes available at the two Auxiliary Outputs on the back panel. The 7X-II can also perform true audio mixer functions – having two microphone/instrument inputs on the front panel, each with their own dedicated rotary volume controls. Each input can have internal effects assigned to them (reverb, echo, vocal harmonizer, etc.).
- The built-in true 16-TRACK SEQUENCER enables you to listen and edit songs in standard MIDI type 0 and type 1 formats. The powerful professional sequencer is sophisticated (allowing both real-time and step edit recording) yet easy to use, thanks in part to the larger display window and intuitive interface.
- The 7X-II has a unique CHORD STACKING feature which allows you to easily create storable files which, after manual input of all the chord changes in the order in which they occur in a song, allows a fully orchestrated accompaniment to be played back with all the proper chord changes previously input by simply pressing a footswitch whenever it is time for the next chord change. This amazing feature allows you to concentrate on playing your melody and is also an invaluable tool for providing complete backup for non-MIDI acoustic musicians and singers.
- Various ACCESSORIES make playing the G-7 and 7X-II even easier. A microphone holder/boom (G7), a sustain pedal, an expression pedal, a multi-switch pedalboard, memory expansion for voices, and remote 11 switch instrument-attachable control panel with mercury motion activated switch are just some of the available accessories that will further enhance your FARFISA playing experience.
